The Darkest Night

Before there was Christmas, there was Yule—the Winter Solstice. For modern-day witch Mena McGinty, it may still be the season of rebirth, or at least second chances.

Mena flees a dark past, leaving behind everything she knows for the cold north, only to find that as the longest night of the year approaches, a new life may be her gift of the season.

The Darkest Night is a ten-thousand word novelette, approximately forty pages. It is the prequel to the Hedgewitch Mysteries, and was originally featured in the Eclective’s Holiday Collection.

An ancient city, entombed beneath a museum that seeks to understand the brutal race that once inhabited the underground world.

A young woman with special empathic powers offered a job to create an exhibit of the city’s artifacts.

Underneath, they wait for her.

Underneath is a ten-thousand word novelette, approximately fifty pages.

May I Go Play?

A young woman inherits a southern mansion from her grandmother only to find the original owners want company.

May I Go Play? is an eleven-thousand word short story originally featured in The Eclective’s Haunted Collection.

It is a part of my ongoing Old Houses series – stories about haunted houses to quench my thirst for ghosts.
